July Meeting Review

July's meeting was the last before the summer break - there will be no meeting in August.

Pick 'n' Mix Challenge

This month we held a  'Pick 'n' Mix' challenge which was a variation on the normal monthly motivation format.  Members were asked to take a photo on a theme they suggested, and a photo on a theme they picked at random from other members suggestions. Joe Kennedy presented the entries and there was a review and discussion afterwards. The challenge was popular among members and will be run again in the near future.

Speaker - Matthew Gammon

After the tea break we were delighted to have our own Matthew Gammon give a very interesting presentation on his photography and his recent solo exhibition 'Beauty in the Commonplace'. He described his photography journey so far, which only began in 2012, and also gave an insight into the traditional intaglio printmaking technique he used in his exhibition. We would like to thank Matthew for an excellent presentation and congratulate him on his fine exhibition.
