This month's club photo shoot took place in Sligo on Sunday 26th of February. Brian Munnelly greeted members at the assembly point in Rathcormac before moving first to Streedagh Beach and later through the Horseshoe Glen. The day, which was initially dull and overcast, later developed into a damp drizzle that considerably reduced photographic opportunities normally abundant in this very beautiful and dramatic Sligo landscape. While the rain stayed away, our time at Streedagh was productive but the beauty of the Glen was generally admired via a scenic drive with the mountainous landscape viewed by squinting through the moving windscreen wipers. As always, the social aspect of the event was most enjoyable and despite the poor weather, there was no shortage of quality photography.
Next month, the club photo shoot will take place at "Eagle's Flying" in Ballymote. Details given at the next club meeting.
