Weekend Break-Away 2023

Friday 15th September - Sunday 17th September 

This year is going to be something different as a decision is made for club members
to challenge themselves to find their own accommodation on Achill Island
it'll be fun and interesting for everyone to be more independent in the club





Preferably in or near Keel village region as "Keel" will be our main go to place

There is a few members that have been to Achill before and have summed up all its glory 
But there is a few that rarely visit the gorgeous island full of spectacular views and scenery
For those that have been there a number of times it'll be good education for those that haven't
Our experienced Achill visitors have a line up of interests and places to go

Please Note that those members who are willing to go 
let the committee know in good time before September 
You and everyone else going will be setup within a separate WhatsApp group for the weekend trip

          ∙       Speaker -  We welcome back John Mee to the club for another talk and presenting his work
                    John Mee is a photographer based is County Mayo with over a decade of experience.
                    His photographic skill encompasses a wide range of subjects, from commercial photography  
                    to portraits and landscapes to sports.
           
                


                   He also dabbles in AI imagery. But is very cognisant of the debate and pros and 
                   cons of this new genre.

           Please note - John frequently runs photography courses to groups and 1-1's. Focusing on beginners         
           enabling them to get to grips with the settings DSLR's and mirrorless cameras.

          ∙      52/52 Challenge fee of €5 is now due and can be collected at the door of club meetings 

          ∙     Members are reminded annual subscriptions are now due
                  Subscriptions are renewed in January 2023 for the following year and can be paid to 
                  Martina(treasurer), simply pop the required amount in an envelope with your full name and   
                  number printed clearly on the front and can be collected at the door at your next meeting
                  New members should fill in a membership form via this website(printer required) or ask a   
                  committee member for a form at any meeting you attend
                  Paid members will be added to the WhatsApp group (ask for a committee member to be added)
