Outing 2nd December 2023

 Venue: Belvedere, Mullingar, County Westmeath

Yesterday members had a fieldtrip to the Land of Light event held in Belvedere House and gardens, Mullingar, County Westmeath Land of Light – Magical illuminated outdoor walking trail

This will mark our last outing the club will have before the Christmas period

Members organised the day away through interest and Whatsapp messaging within the club group 
If you are not currently receiving Whatsapp messaging or are not part of the club Whatsapp group and your membership is up to date.....don't worry!
Just ask a committee member to be included in the Boyle Camera Club Whatsapp group (that's if you use Whatsapp, of course!) 
Doing so you will receive updated information about events, fieldtrips or anything photography from time to time...

 Vietnam and Cambodia in recent times, amazing photos and talk

                    middle-east and her passion for photography

                    


Ann is based in Ballina, County Mayo and joined Mayo Camera Club 11 years ago
More recently she joined Boyle Camera Club 4 years ago




In 2016 Ann took off on a three week holiday visiting Vietnam and Cambodia
 



And we have learned she enjoys Landscape and People Photography

2023 Annual General Meeting

2023 AGM took place last night and was a success seeing current and new committee members been
elected for the year ahead

 26/26 Challenge 2023/24 is New and it allows 
 members who are not/no longer taking part in the 
 weekly club 52/52 and too challenge them-selves
 to post regularly in a fun and intuitive way
 Starting from Saturday 23rd - 29th September (Week
 one)
 Entries must be uploaded by midnight every Friday
 for the following 26 weeks (one photo per week)
 Challenge is open to all members
 (Advanced, Intermediate and Beginners)

Summer show postponed

Public Notice

  Boyle summer show is postponed

  Due to the difficult forecast in the next couple of days there will be "NO SHOW" on Sunday August 13th
  So that means to all the photography enthusiasts Boyle camera club perpetual cup is a no show as well
  All is put on the long finger till a later date of Sunday 17th September only with the promise of blue skies 
  and sunshine, but we will take a cloudy day a good day as the cup has too be won
  So please put Sunday 17th September in your diary 
  and we hope you enter as many of your images

with entry form and fee

Boyle Summer Show 2023

Like every other year Boyle summer show is held in Boyle town and Boyle camera club
would like to invite fellow photographers to showcase their images for a chance to take home
the Boyle Camera Club Perpetual Cup
there is other prizes including "Rosette's" and "cash prizes" judged in 1st, 2nd/3rd positions

The theme for 2023 is "NATURE" and is open to all ages

REMEMBER ENTRIES TO BE HANDED IN BETWEEN (9:30 - 10:30AM) 
with entry form and fee
In return a receipt is granted and can be used for prize/s won

Entry fee is €2 for each of your images entered in the following classes:

                   Tonights meeting we will happily discuss upcoming topics such as our weekend away and a

                   All members are encouraged to locate and book their own accommodation in groups/singles
                   (Staying in or around the KEEL region of the isle)

                   and cottages in Keel, Achill Island, County Mayo
                   We suggest all members willing to go to Achill too book a place early, avoid disappointment

          ∙    Boyle Camera Club will not be taking part in the Boyle Arts Festival this year, which begins on     
                 July 20th 2023.
                 However, the Club has decided that this year we will put on a public exhibition of our own,   
                 where we will show off the talents of our members and some/all works will be for sale.                  
                 There will be more information available about this event as we get closer to it.

Weekend Break-Away 2023

Friday 15th September - Sunday 17th September 

This year is going to be something different as a decision is made for club members
to challenge themselves to find their own accommodation on Achill Island
it'll be fun and interesting for everyone to be more independent in the club





Preferably in or near Keel village region as "Keel" will be our main go to place

          ∙       Speaker -  We welcome back John Mee to the club for another talk and presenting his work
                    John Mee is a photographer based is County Mayo with over a decade of experience.
                    His photographic skill encompasses a wide range of subjects, from commercial photography  
                    to portraits and landscapes to sports.
           
                


                   He also dabbles in AI imagery. But is very cognisant of the debate and pros and 
                   cons of this new genre.

           Please note - John frequently runs photography courses to groups and 1-1's. Focusing on beginners
