Update on 19/11/24 Meeting

Last nights meeting: Last night we held our meeting a week later than our usual monthly meeting,
due to the weather forecast a week earlier, tough the weather didn't look promising yesterday as there were signs of snow during the meeting, we would like to thank the members that turned up especially
those whom had a long journey home and those who were wise not to travel.
After our break: We discussed the importance of understanding the "exposure triangle" lead by
M.Cooke with Questions and interest we continued for less than an hour before making out the door before the road conditions worsened.
Below are some links to you tube videos concerning the exposure triangle;

Update on 15/05/24 Meeting

We had our very own Matthew Gammon as speaker last night, which was very informative
and surely he has given us members a different approach to photography, from chatting to
us about his printing technic to the aspects of entering the Irish Photography federations competitions for both club and individual past and future and also his journey in the business in achieving his goals in doing so, Matthew also displayed some of his work physically and on the big screen,
And we thank Matthew for educating us and wish him the very best in his new studio.

Last night also saw members bring camera equipment to the meeting that was no longer needed
and would have liked to share with other members that may have found better use for it,
this practice was a non-profit share/swap basis and turned out to be a great idea by members

23/02/2024 Workshop

 Kevin Lim workshop in Boyle town

Many thanks to Kevin Lim for yesterday's informative intake of street photography from your perspective to our Boyle Camera Club members. The day was really enjoyed and it shone through. Many members had a kind word to say on the workshop outcome and the lessons learned that made it truly enjoyable to be there. After the morning introduction to street photography with Kevin, members flowed out to the streets to practice the art for themselves, after about 1hr 30mins we all gathered back in the clubhouse for lunch (many thanks to Martina Morris for organising the catering) from where Kevin closed out the day with some of his best insights to our abilities with the camera curbside along Boyle town where it was experienced....
