At last nights Boyle Camera Club's Christmas Party, we had the pleasure in presenting a €500 cheque to Niamh O'Connor, representing the Brothers of Charity, Boyle.
The money was raised by Boyle Camera Club members through their annual exhibition at Boyle Arts Festival. 39 photographic prints were sold at the very successful exhibition, which was held in the wonderful surrounds of the newly refurbished 'An Ríoga'.
Boyle Camera Club members meet on the second Tuesday of every month in Boyle Resource Center, to discuss and learn all things photographic. From mobile phone photography to DSLRs, they have an open door policy and welcome all who wish to learn more, take more photos and be part of a club.
The members were delighted to be able to raise funds for the Brothers of Charity in Boyle. The charity focuses on helping individuals with intellectual difficulties, so they can achieve personal life goals and become valued and equal members of society. The Boyle Brothers of Charity group also has a very active Camera Club, having produced a 2026 calendar for sale locally and they also make greeting cards.
