Club Meeting - Tuesday 10th April

April 2012 - Motivation WATER winners

Last Tuesday's Club Meeting was held on a beautiful sunny Spring evening. Club members enjoyed an informal photo shoot in Boyle town before convening as usual at the Resource Centre. Members are encouraged to post their photos from the evening to the club Flickr Pool.

In the absence of club Chairman, Kit O'Connor, Tony Murphy chaired the meeting. He discussed all the agenda items mentioned in the previous post. The issue of monitor calibration was noteworthy; the club will organise a calibration specialist to make a presentation at the earliest opportunity and subsequently will be open to advice on the purchase of monitor calibration hardware and software which will be made available to members.

Exhibitions
Members are asked to deliver their framed photos for the club exhibition in Gleeson's, Roscommon at 7.45pm, Tuesday 17th April to Daly's Bar, Boyle. John Walshe will collect the photos. Members should note the related post on the club FORUM.

Once again, Boyle Camera Club will present a photo exhibition in Boyle library as part of the Boyle Arts Festival which takes place in July. Members are asked to prepare their submission in the months ahead. This will be an OPEN exhibition where members submit a maximum of 3 photos for consideration, one of which will be selected for the exhibition.

Club Lighting and Studio Equipment
The club own a set of studio lights and background accessories available for loan to members. These can be booked through Kit O'Connor and Tony Murphy. Members can book the lights at club meetings or via email; info@boylecameraclub.com. Term of loan is on a weekly basis.

Also, the club have a set of videos (4) by Guy Gowen which address all aspects of his unique image editing skill. These are also available on load to members.
